Cross Skin Chameleon 5.3 (for dnn 6.x only)
1. Introduction
As we know, dnn has powerful and flexible skin architecture. But sometimes it is a little inconvenience to find a suitable skin (or container) from skin list through dnn standard way, especially when you have a lot of skin/container packages.
Besides that, you may want change skin/container and an even portal logo/background image on some special days.It is a little inconvenient because you have to change them manually.
That's why we create this free module. With it, you can do above things easily. It can help site administrator switch skin/container and portal logo/background more quickly, more straightforward and more effectively.
You can even specify different skin/container/logo/background image for different period. For example, you can specify a Christmas related skin between 12/15 and 12/18, when 12/15 comes, module will automatic change your skin to it, and will change back to default skin after 12/18.

5. Module Features
5.1 Change portal skin & portal container
Click “portal skin” or “portal container“ under “portal” section will let you switch portal skins. If you login in as host account (super user), you can manage multiple portals at the same time. If you login in as site administrator, you can only change current portal skin.
You can add rules for view mode or edit mode. Click the left skin category item
will display related skins/containers. Enter start date and end date, click “Add” to add this rule. If start date equals today, module will change portal skin right now.
You can click “preview” button to preview selected skin before you add it.
The start date and end date is useful if you want to change skins/containers on specific days.For example, you can specify a Christmas related skin between 12/15 and 12/18, when 12/15 comes, module will automatic change your skin to it, and will change back to default skin after 12/18.
5.2 Change portal logo & portal background image
You can change portal logo & portal background image follow same process. You can aso specify a start date and end date to let module automatic change when time comes.
5.3 Change page skins(containers) and module containers
Page skins(containers) and module containers can also be switched via same process.
5.4 Using dnn schedule job to perform switch actions
After create skin/container/portal logo/portal background switch rules, you can leave them alone.Module will use dnn schedule job to perform switch actions. It will check your rules every day, to see if they need action. This will save your time.
5.4 Apply right now
Module uses dnn schedule jobs to perform background/skin/container switch, your rules may need sometime to take effect. If you don't want to wait, module also provide a “Apply rules right now“ feature to let you check your rules and apply them right now.

A.How to change the rule switch schedule?
Q: Module use dnn schedule job to perform background/skin/container switch, by default ,module will check rules every 2 hours. You can change this value at “Host – Schedule” menu.
